A YEAR OF GROWTH AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

In 2024, we experienced a dynamic year of growth fueled by meaningful community engagement and impactful partnerships. These connections have strengthened our mission and allowed us to continue making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Operational and Community Engagement Milestones
Multipurpose Pavilion Construction

This year, we completed a major construction project with the help of volunteers and participants in our meaningful work program. This new pavilion has significantly enhanced our capacity to serve the community. It now provides a welcoming space for outdoor community meals, volunteer activities, and group gatherings.

Expanded Outreach to Women

We strengthened our efforts to engage women in the community through initiatives like our weekly Herb Program and the Annual Spring Empowerment in Bloom volunteer opportunity. These programs have created spaces for connection, growth, and empowerment.

Growth in Meaningful Work Opportunities

Thanks to donations, farmers’ market revenue, fundraising events, and grants, we expanded our meaningful work program, providing employment to 8 individuals in recovery. This initiative continues to foster personal growth and community impact.

ADAPTING TO CHANGE

This year also brought operational changes that temporarily affected our farm’s productivity and farmers’ market revenue. Despite these challenges, we remain resilient, using this period as an opportunity to refine our processes and lay a strong foundation for greater success in the coming year.

Operational and Community Engagement Milestones Continued
Empowering Partnerships

We deepened our collaboration with local talent aligned with our mission, including Andrew and Jaren from Wild Hearth and Home and Tessa from Green Woman Farm. Their skills and knowledge have helped us create new opportunities and pathways for growth within our community.

Volunteer Impact

In 2024, we were honored to welcome 12 organizations and countless dedicated individuals, contributing an astounding 1,648 volunteer hours. Their hard work and passion have helped cultivate a vibrant, thriving environment at Simple Promise Farms.

Scholarship Initiatives

Reflecting our commitment to holistic well-being, we continued to offer sober living and mental health scholarships, empowering individuals on their journey to recovery and wellness.

Each of these milestones is a testament to the collective dedication of our volunteers, partners, and supporters. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community.

Empowering Impact: How Our Donors Drive Our Mission Forward

Your donations directly transform lives by creating meaningful work opportunities for individuals in recovery, funding recovery scholarships, and supporting the growth of our farm. Together, we’re providing hope, support, and a path to lasting recovery, while encouraging a culture of understanding and help for those who need it most.

Scholarship Recipient Testimonial

I’d like to start by stating that Simple Promise Farms has changed my life.

I was in a dark headspace. I was continuously numbing the pain with substances, and unable to face the fact that I constantly made terrible decisions under the influence. I was facing prison time, and couldn’t stay sober. I asked God for help, and the Farm was his answer. I got to work with horses, bees, donkeys, chickens, and goats. I got to grow vegetables. I became a part of something amazing. I received a scholarship from the farm so that I could go to a sober living house and am currently still at that same sober house, as a manager. I have no more legal troubles. I am working part time, and I’m also a student at ACC. I also spend the weekends, every weekend, with my son. I am continuing to reestablish relationships with my family. I am so grateful for Ranch House Recovery and Simple Promise Farms for being part of my life.

Community Partner Testimonial

As a community partner I have had the pleasure of seeing firsthand how the staff at Simple Promise Farms fosters deep healing among people recovering from addiction. The entire process from growth to harvest empowers the individual to lead a healthy and balanced life. Additionally, SPF allows individuals from their program to develop meaningful connections with the community by attending farmers markets to share the organic produce they grow. The treatment program that SPF offers is truly uplifting and transformative.

Volunteer Testimonial

Volunteering at Simple Promise Farms has been outstanding for my mental health. A combination of a sense of purpose, community, and nature has me feeling more myself than I have in a long time. Something about getting my hands in the dirt and getting to see the end result of store-ready products I helped gather and/or grow is incredibly fulfilling.
